Patricia’s legal practice focuses on family law and criminal defense matters. Her educational background includes a Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2001 and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, where she received honors from the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and the Francisco Leos Award for excellence in clinical studies.
Patricia Jay is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of the State of Texas since 2006 and by the Oklahoma Supreme Court since 2012. Patricia has received several awards and recognitions throughout her career, including being named a Rising Star in Texas Super Lawyers Magazine in 2016 and being recognized as one of the Top 30 Family Law Attorneys in San Antonio by San Antonio Scene Magazine in 2015.
Patricia has also been actively involved in professional associations, serving as the Executive Director, Director, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and President of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association over the years. She is a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and has contributed to legal education through publications and presentations, such as her role as Course Director for the Winning Trial Strategies course with the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association in 2015 and as a speaker at the Extreme Family Law Makeover event hosted by the San Antonio Bar Association-Family Law Section in 2016.
